Feeling Pensive

12 03 2008

So I was finishing up work for the day and Paul came with his son, Matti, to pick me up. We stopped at Canadian Tire on the way back to my place so I could get a new battery for the car.  Paul has a habit of stopping off and shopping on the way to places, and the experience was written all over Matti’s face. He doesn’t like Canadian Tire. Cruel thing to do to a kid, take him to Canadian Tire so much that he doesn’t like it. Hopefully it will become like broccoli, and someday he’ll just aquire the taste.

Paul helped me install the new battery, and Simone and I got to test out the Nintendo Wii on four players for the first time. We need a larger living room to get the most out of bowling, but no one seemed to mind since it was such a great group game. After they left, Simone and I played a few rounds of Wii Tennis. I’m starting to get better at it (finally).

I feel like I have all my energy back, but I still have a bit of depression largely driven by the potential of “the other shoe dropping” with regards to car repairs. Simone’s also been quite successful closing items on the wedding to-do list and I haven’t done much outside our collaborative work.

It’s strange following last month to have no work beating down my door, but have a to-do list that is still so long.
