Crush Luther

Crush Luther is releasing their first label-ish CD on the 13th, and they’re already getting some notice. The fans have put them to number 2 on the MuchMoreMusic Top 10. Even though they’re that high on the list, you still need to scroll right to the bottom in order to vote for them. Go figure.
The CD release party is on the 17th at The Horseshoe. One of the best Indie rock bands out there by far, and the show with CD is $10. Damn good deal!
My weak connection to the band? Dan, the bass player, used to work a the Esso downstairs from where I work. Friendly guy.
Last note of interest: Crush Luther pledged that they would have a boxing match (a literal “Crush Luther”) if they topped number 5. The week they hit number 4, they filmed this. Cheaply done, goes a little long during the build-up, but in the end, very funny and very well edited.
